The Artmobile Artists Bio’s
Tobi Furman
Furman is the founder and program director of The Artmobile, an art studio on wheels providing access and exposure to the arts inspired learning opportunities for pre-k- middle school students living in under-served neighborhoods. Furman’s love for the arts and passion for helping others have always been a big focus in her life. So, combining her interest in helping others and passion for the arts lead Furman on a journey to develop a mobile art outreach program, The Artmobile Program.
Her drive is that all young people should have the opportunity to benefit from arts programming no matter where they live.
Her focus is to collaborate with locally known artists, art agencies, art educators and community leaders to create a hands-on, culturally rich art experiences that ignite imaginations and let the participants discover their own unique creativities, talents and abilities. Prior to this partnership, Furman was a co-founder and partner of 501C3Marketing, a branding and marketing group serving the nonprofit community. In this capacity, her focus was on delivering authentic, credible, and compelling mission-driven marketing solutions that enhance her clients’ capacity to achieve their goals.
Prior to this partnership, Furman served as the Resource Development Director for Jewish Family Services and as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for United Way of Central Ohio.
As a marketing professional, business partner, and communications strategist, Furman is recognized as an engaging and insightful business leader and an active member of the central Ohio community of volunteers working to make a difference.
Furman is an alumnus of Syracuse University and graduate of Leadership Columbus. She is an active community volunteer and currently serves on non-profit marketing and fundraising committees, is on the Board of Directors for Columbus Early Learning Centers and Citizens Advisory Council, Franklin County Children Services,. “2009 Superstar, Marketing and Sales” –Columbus C.E.O. Janette Jones-Ball
Janette Jones-Ball is a painter using acrylic, ink, and water soluble oil. Based in Columbus Ohio, she studied at The Columbus College of Art & Design, and recently as a member of the Creative Arts of Women.
Additionally, Janette continues to help people heal through her pet portraits. These colorful pet portraits are painted with bold colors to capture the emotion and lines of expression; and amplify the language not spoken between the owner and their beloved pet.
She is a former corporate IT Professional and now monitors, manages and deploys all aspects of information functionality for the SAL.
Janette considers her mother to be one of her greatest mentors. She also has a son and daughter of her own that are grown, and they have little ones of their own. She loves to be with kids and hopes to reach the local young community to teach insight and fun learning with art.
Hannah Westhoven
Hannah Westhoven is a 2018 graduate of Capital University with majors in Art Education and Studio Art. She is an Art Educator in the Hillard School District and works with high school students. She has experience creating art with diverse populations from youth in urban neighborhoods to adults with developmental disabilities. Her own artwork has received the President’s Recognition at Capital University’s Student Art Show, been featured in the ReCap magazine, and been nominated for Excellence in the Visual Arts among students from private colleges in Ohio.
Leslie McBride
Leslie McBride has always had a love for the arts, whether it be visual, performance, graphic or music arts. She believes in the power of arts education and exposure and how transformative it can be for our youth. She has spent time bringing a wide variety of arts programming into area schools as well as visiting artists to share their craft with students. She has a background in media arts and journalism and holds a BFA from The University of Cincinnati
